All-on-6® takes the proven full-arch implant concept and adds two extra implants per arch — six total — for patients who want maximum stability, are dealing with greater bone density loss, or have a heavy bite. At Agoura Advanced Dentistry, Dr. Kambiz Kamangar plans every All-on-6 case with 3D cone-beam imaging and, in many cases, can deliver a fully fixed temporary bridge the same day as surgery. No removable dentures, no covering the roof of your mouth, no compromise on chewing power.
All-on-6 is the right tool for patients missing all teeth in one or both arches, those with failing teeth that aren’t worth saving, current denture wearers seeking a permanent solution, and people previously told they don’t have enough bone for implants — All-on-6’s angled posterior implants often work even with significant bone loss.
1. 3D consultation and cone-beam scan. We map your jaw structure in three dimensions, identify the optimal implant angles, and digitally plan the prosthesis before any surgery.
2. Surgical day. Under local anesthesia (with sedation if you prefer), we extract any remaining failing teeth, place the six titanium implants, and immediately attach a fixed temporary bridge. You leave the same day with a full set of teeth.
3. Healing phase (3-6 months). The implants integrate with your jawbone — a process called osseointegration. You eat a soft diet during the first weeks and return to normal foods over time.
4. Final bridge. Once integration is complete, we replace your provisional bridge with the final, custom-crafted prosthesis — designed for ideal aesthetics, bite, and longevity.
5. Maintenance. Hygiene visits twice a year. With proper care, All-on-6 routinely lasts 20+ years.
Compared with traditional dentures or placing 6-8 individual implants per arch, All-on-6:

All-on-4 uses four implants per arch; All-on-6 uses six. The two extra implants distribute bite force more evenly and provide additional support, which makes All-on-6 a stronger choice for patients with greater bone density loss, heavy bite forces, parafunctional habits like clenching or grinding, or anyone wanting maximum long-term security.
All-on-6 in our practice all-inclusive (consultation, 3D imaging, extractions, six implants, temporary bridge, final prosthesis). Most patients save 10-15% when treating both arches together.
Per arch, surgery typically takes 3-5 hours including any extractions and the placement of six implants and temporary bridge.
Not always. All-on-4 is usually sufficient and more -effective for patients with adequate bone. All-on-6 is preferred when there is significant bone loss, when the patient has a heavy bite or grinds at night, or when extra long-term stability is the priority. Dr. Kam recommends the right protocol based on your 3D scan and bite analysis.
With good hygiene and routine maintenance, the titanium implants routinely last 20+ years — often a lifetime. The prosthesis may need refurbishment around 10–15 years depending on materials.
No. We place a fixed temporary bridge the same day as surgery. You leave with a full set of teeth.
Yes — All-on-6 is often a better choice than All-on-4 in cases of moderate to severe bone loss because the extra two implants reduce the load per implant. Dr. Kam will assess your bone in 3D at consultation and recommend the right approach.
